border platform
De Oude Willem, Friesland

In a transitional phase, the installation connects a visual story of man’s brutal efforts to cultivate and question the use of land. For this artwork, an existing ditch was moved as the last human intervention in the new De Oude Willem nature reserve. The platform on Frisian soil announces the border with Drenthe by citing the black and white of the old border posts. It draws attention to the initiated change between culture and nature.
