Hambach, Germany

Excavator toerism in Hambach Germany at one of the largest opencast mine pits in the world. Monster like diggers more than 200 meters long and with wheel buckets of 21 meter of diamater doing the 24/7 job taking out the lignine (coal). This beach like setting with metal beach chairs and parasols facing the 300 meter deep pit on a pleasant sunny Sunday afternoon is making the scene even more surreal than it is already by itself.
